Typically when we travel, we’re searching for the problem areas. In Greece, this implies Mykonos and Santorini are high on the rundown. In any case, from time to time, we like to hit something up and coming and somewhat more manageable than our standard thing. On our new excursion to the Greek Islands, we chose to get a little R and R by attempting a less touristy (contrasted with blue villas mykonos), adjoining island in the Cyclades called Paros.
Totally clear and quiet waters, white sandy sea shores, well disposed Parians and an incredibly fun night life make Paros an ideal promising Jet Set Destination! There are numerous dynamic port towns, some more touristy than others. My most loved is Naoussa. Naoussa is the most cosmopolitan town on the island. Also, with the lovely Santa Maria ocean side close by, it is obviously the best region on the island to remain.
Here are my ways to track down your own Heaven in Paros!
Arriving
Getting to Paros is simple both via air and via ocean. Actually, I like to fly straightforwardly from Athens. Actually, when you taxi to Piraeus (the port in Athens) and take a ship, it’s practically a similar cost to fly and the flight requires 35 minutes rather than 3–5 hours by ship. The flight is fast, the perspectives from the plane are shocking and the air terminal is so little and delightful it merits flying into!
Ships: Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, Aegean Speed Lines
Aircrafts: Olympic Air
Where to Stay
Paradise Nauossa
In Paros everything no doubt revolves around the conventional B and B. For Rob and I, we picked the inconspicuously stylish and suitably named Heaven Naoussa. Paradise Naoussa is tenderly wrapped up the calm passerby roads of Naoussa, simply ventures from the vitally port town and a short 10 min bike ride to the lovely sea shores of Santa Maria. It’s effortlessness at it’s ideal. We picked one of five suites called the Lavender Iris Blue Gray Suite, which had more space as it can oblige up to four people. Our suite was customary and rich with a room, washroom, parlor and an immense gallery disregarding the wonderful islands scene. All Suites incorporate cooling, dial-telephone, ice chest, satellite TV, a protected, ocean side towels and breakfast conveyed to the room.
Breakfast at Heaven
Our main thing from Heaven Naoussa was eating on our gigantic gallery! Every morning, our coordinated breakfast showed up at 10:30am, as mentioned. Our morning meal comprised of the most tasty Greek yogurt we’ve at any point had and obviously, honey; Greek espresso for myself, and Espresso for my better half; a bushel of breads and baked goods and a hard-bubbled egg. Basic, awesome, heavenly!
When breakfast was finished, we’d get our ocean side towels and bounce on our bike which we leased simply ventures from the lodging and hit the close by ocean side of Santa Maria!
Where to Spend the Day
St Nick Maria Beach
As far as we might be concerned, everything revolves around Santa Maria Beach. St Nick Maria is a coordinated ocean side with something for everybody. Whether you need to come early, get a 4 euro relax seat, a 30 euro knead near the ocean and simply chill-or appear later in the day, play volleyball, paddle ball and taste astonishing mojitos and dance to the DJ’s thrashes it’s to you! There are two café/bars near the ocean. our most loved is Nava.
Where to Eat Lunch
Nava Beach Bar and Restaurant
This one is simple! On Santa Maria ocean side there is an eatery that opened for the current year (Summer 2011) called Nava. The dazzling blues of the ocean are an ideal difference to its outdoors, white on white, ocean side stylish plan. The help is first rate and the view is top notch!
The menu is a mix of customary Greek Island charge octopus, Greek serving of mixed greens, new fish and they’ve acquired a piece from their Italian partners as they additionally serve Caprese servings of mixed greens and pastas. My decision is Yianni’s Octopus cooked in a red wine sauce. So delightful!
Where to Watch the Sunset
Since the area of Heaven Naoussa is simply a couple of steps from the port, it’s not difficult to stroll into town for nightfall at our number one mystery spot Fotis! Fotis is an all-white parlor with both in and open air seating. It’s tucked down a little side road and away from the buzzing about of the actual port. Super chill and straightforwardly on the rough ocean side of a small inlet. In the event that you need a hip energy and a cool mixed drink while you watch the sun set over Paros then Fortis is the spot to be!
Where to Eat Dinner
The port town is loaded up with eateries, some touristy, some not really touristy. In any case, assuming you need a heartfelt supper that is certain to not be a sham, then, at that point, bounce on the bike and head around 5 minutes not too far off to the wonderful outdoors café called Siparos. Siparos serves conventional Mediterranean dishes. Assuming that you go a little early you can get an enchanted ocean perspective on the exquisite sun set.
Where to Grab a Drink
Bistro Del Mar is an incredible spot to stop for a beverage or two around 12 PM. Get a table and pay attention to your #1 tunes as a whole and either wind down or get inclined up for a considerably later evening!
Where to Party
Assuming you’re actually conscious and have some energy after 4am, make a beeline for the bus stop and you’ll track down a large number of clubs, all asking for your consideration. Every night is unique and the music changes from one club to another so see what you like and pop in! (The incredible news about remaining at Heaven Naoussa is your bed is a couple of steps away! No cabs. No bikes. No issues!)
Paros is certainly one of the most unwinding, wonderful, well disposed and safe islands in the Cyclades. The neighborhood Parians cause you to feel as though you are family. Investigating the whole island by scooter is simple. We even discovered a few eateries that can rival a large number of the best on adjoining islands. Furthermore, obviously, the nightfalls are totally otherworldly.
